Egypt China Chamber of Commerce holds 2019 Annual Meeting

     On April 20th, the Egyptian Chamber of Commerce in China held the 2019 annual general meeting. The Chinese Embassy in Egypt, Ambassador Song Aiguo, the Economic and Commercial Office, Han Bing Gong Can, and the Egyptian Chinese Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Bian Shiyuan, attended the meeting and delivered speeches. More than 150 representatives of Egyptian member companies attended the meeting.
     The meeting comprehensively summarized the main work carried out by the Chamber of Commerce in the past year, and planned the next steps; issued the "China Chamber of Commerce in China to implement the Corporate Social Responsibility Proposal", calling on member companies to actively fulfill their social responsibilities in Egypt and establish a good image of Chinese-funded enterprises; The Chamber of Commerce of the Chamber of Commerce made a report on the political and economic situation in Egypt; six industry branches made relevant analysis reports on the Egyptian industry. The Chamber of Commerce stated that under the guidance of the Embassy and the Economic and Commercial Office, it will actively serve the members and support the members in their respective fields to achieve mutual benefit and win-win results with high quality development.
     In his speech, Ambassador Song Aiguo fully affirmed the achievements made by Chinese-funded enterprises in the past year. He stressed that in recent years, China and Egypt have had frequent high-level political interactions and deepening economic and trade relations. Egypt is in the stage of political and economic reform. Opportunities and challenges coexist. All member companies must base themselves on their own development, maintain their strategic strength, strengthen their confidence, seize the opportunities of external development, and work hard in the new era and new journey to achieve further success in 2019. 
     In his concluding remarks, Han Bing Gong Can said that the theme of the meeting is clear and rich in content. It is of great help to member companies to understand the Egyptian market and industry. It is hoped that the Chinese enterprises in Egypt will not only understand the situation in Egypt but also China. The situation and the international situation, constantly improve their own pattern, pay attention to doing the following things in the work: First, strengthen the study of Xi Jinping's new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics, establish a correct view of justice and interests; second, be honest and trustworthy, compliance management; Improve safety awareness, strengthen safety measures, and ensure safe production; Fourth, we must fulfill our social responsibilities and achieve mutual benefit and win-win situation in China and Egypt; Fifth, we must do a good job in public diplomacy, strengthen publicity work, and jointly safeguard the image of Chinese-funded enterprises in Egypt. Sixth, it is hoped that all member companies will actively support the participation of the Chamber of Commerce. The management of the Chamber of Commerce should be further standardized and institutionalized, strengthen the construction of the public number, better serve the enterprise, and actively use the resources of the Embassy Culture Department and the Confucius Institute to enrich the life of the employees in the Egypt.
